What to Wear // Spring Engagement Shoots

If you are getting married in the Fall, Spring is the perfect time for Engagements photos. If you choose to do them, they are the first thing on your wedding to-do list that you will accomplish as a newly engaged couple. Planning an engagement shoot does take some time, but lean on your photographer for location ideas and what outfits to choose. With my experience I have come to find that choosing your outfits are solely based on your personalities, the weather and how comfortable you want to be, which is very important. And depending on how much time is allowed for the shoot, determines how many outfits you can bring. I recommend bringing – a fancier outfit, a stylish/casual outfit, and then finally a more laid back outfit (think jeans, shorts, sports team shirts, college attire etc.)

Below are some color inspiration outfits for the Spring but also check out my last engagement outfit post, where I provide more in detail on how to accomplish a very nice complimentary outfit with your fiance. www.dhdesignphotography.com/blog/2014/5/14/what-to-wear-engagement-edition

Light, airy, and totally casual, this combination of Rose Quartz, Lilac Grey, and a hint of Green Flash completely sets the tone for a fresh Spring photoshoot - either indoors or outdoors! Accessorize with some geometric gold  earrings or necklace for a special accent (which looks great on camera!).

Soft neutrals and blues pair fabulously with warm Iced Coffee leather accents! Denim skirts and tall boots are an unbeatable pair, perfect for nearly any photoshoot setting.

Greys are great! Always stylish and looking fabulous on just about anybody, Lilac Grey is a perfect choice for men or women. Accent your grey palette with a splash of Fiesta Red to add some pop colors on camera!

This outfit really pops with splashes of Buttercup yellow! A true celebration of Spring and eye-catching in every way. Keeping most of the palette neutral with just a few pieces of yellow will create exciting focal points in your images.

Elegant and urban, this combination of Lilac Grey and blacks is well suited for city shoots, indoor or outdoor! The pairing of different fabric textures looks fabulous on camera, adding interesting detail to your images. With such a simple outfit, accessorizing is key!

This fresh combination of Rose Quartz and Limpet Shell aqua celebrates Spring and looks fabulous in almost any photo location, indoor our outdoor! Comfortable and casual sweaters and jeans look great on camera and keep you relaxed

For those couples who like it a little more upscale, this elevated cocktail-inspired combination is lovely for urban shoots. Serenity Blue and Snorkel Blue are paired together for a couple that looks lovely together without completely matching.
